Weekly Shameless Webcomic Promotion: #1

Fri Jul 3, 2009, 12:16 AM
  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: My fan
  • Reading: Inverloch
  • Watching: Balto and its sequels XD
I've been reading several different webcomics lately and I decided that instead of keeping them all to myself, I would put them out there in case someone stumbles by and happens to be interested - I like to convert people to media that I enjoy XD
This will be a weekly thing, every Friday, since that's when a lot of comics seem to update. I'll only do active comics that are still updating - feel free to make suggestions to me! It's in no particular order, just randomly every week. When I run out, I'll probably do something different, like TV shows XP God knows I watch too many.

Webcomic #1
Coming Up Violet
[link]
Written by Brian Daniel and illustrated by ~Anivasion, Coming Up Violet - or CUV - is a high-school-slice-of-life anthro (or furry, but I don't really like that term) comic. It follows the life of a squirrel named Violet, her wacky family and friends, and a conflicted love interest. If you're thinking it's cliche of a HS-slice-of-life, I wouldn't know because I can't seem to find many more (they're my guilty pleasure >:})...But I know that even if it was/is, it's funny and cute and it has both a handsome wolf with a Gollum-like dialect and a nerdy, sarcastic platypus; hard to resist, right?
Also, if you're interested, take a look at it's predecessor, Fur Will Fly, which is just as awesome: [link]

Disclaimer: Again, I do not claim to have anything to do with this comic except for being an avid reader and posting it here so that others might become that as well.

Also, while we're on the topic of webcomics.
I'm making one, which someone who had read my recent artist comments might have picked up, but, it's still in a lot of progress. The point of telling you this is that I am not too sure about the storyline and I'm slightly procrastinating among other things, so if you are seeing this and would like to possibly take an early peek at my ideas or just want to give me a swift kick in the butt to hurry up, that would be great - just send me a note or something.
